1) What do you like and dislike about your bike on the track vs the street?
Street Pro - It's F'ING _FAST_
Street Con - It's F'ING _FAST_

Track Pro - They let me go F'ING _FAST_
Track Con - But not as F'ING _FAST as the street. That's my fault. Curves are tricky, man. Oh, and compared to a 600 class, the R1 handles like a horny pig. It requires just a wee bit of shovin.

2) Whats the most embarrassing thing you have done while riding?
Hell... 21 years... let's see: dropped one pulling into Sonic. Broke my ankle with my clutch bit, Missing a shift at 20k on the R6 when I was just starting with the club... dropping the R1 in oklahoma (I blame fatigue)... See, I'm a danger to society unless I am going F'ING _FAST_ because most of my incidents are so low speed, it's criminal.

Now on dirt... flipping a bike on a jump, end over end, to only have it land ON MY F'ING HEAD. That's pretty embarassing. Flying over handlebars is NOT DIGNIFIED. =)

3) What is the cause of 95% of accidents at the track?
Too much speed. Or boobies. Or both.

Why Doesn't He Update?
Blog Entry # 216 Posted by Digital Ebola @ Tuesday 17th of June 2008 11:27:38 PM
Hell if I know! I have been extremely busy with work, motorcycles, and various other things. I twitter alot at www.twitter.com/digitalebola and I think I will eventually integrate that into this site. I also need to sort alot of things, pictures, and random texts, and give them the upload. Looking through the gallery, I realize that I haven't uploading pictures in a long time. My MySpace is more current... and that is bad. There was a time where I only used MySpace to stalk various people (seriously!) but the whole "everyone is on it" is winning out. I have to have social networking accounts anyways, so why not use them?

Frankly, time and energy is weighing down on me. Blogging, for the most part, is old. Twitter is refreshing, because it suits my ADD streak.. and it's quick, easy, low cost. It's not the next thing though. Not sure what the next thing is... but I am sure it will crop up sooner then later. I'm not down with "Web 2.0", since it's buzz. Just like I am not down with the iPhone... more buzz. Now, on the subject of the iPhone: give me a slide out keyboard, and the ability to ride my chosen carrier (screw ATT), then I might be interested. Until then, I am content with my HTC Mogul.

And yes, just a little bit old school... Funny thing, I just had to rebuild the system drive on my beloved Linux workstation, and I couldn't find xmms in the Debian unstable package repository... I was at a loss. Now, people say, "THAT'S OLD!!!" and yes, it is... but it works. What more should a MP3 player do? Old habits die hard... and it compiles just fine.

Let's see... current rants? People who are "Green". Non-smokers. People who try to SMS and drive at the same time. People who read the paper and drive at the same time. Long hours, no room service, flying in coach. Lack of soul mate. Gas prices.

I'll stop there.

Current favorites? Ironman. For all it's impossibility, it made me start thinking... and I found the complete collection (1964 to 2006) on DVD at Amazon. Reliving a good part of my childhood with that. What else? Reading all the Heinlein books that I have missed.... one of my favorite authors.

In the last few months, I have broken my foot and ankle in four places, healed, rebuilt my motorcycle (most of it when I was in a cast), re-signed my lease, watched my boss land a much deserved promotion, increased my forensics knowledge, coded some things, lost a phone, replaced a phone, lost a bumper off my 350z, replaced a bumper off my 350z, read at least 10 books not work related, rebuilt two home workstations, drank at least 120 redbulls, and written at least 13 poems.

And I still find time for sleep... sometimes. Which is where I am currently headed. I will update more, I promise.

Peas!

Still not dead...
Blog Entry # 215 Posted by Digital Ebola @ Tuesday 18th of December 2007 11:08:50 PM
Hi... It's been a while. I don't know where to start. Last post in June? WTF? What can I say, I've been busy. Rode cycles all summer, and the weather finally got too miserable to ride... I had a break down of sorts... Well, more like a mid-life crisis at 30. I pretty much detonated my life. New wardrobe, new car... I figured out that I was tired of settling for simply content. I figured out that I work pretty hard to be miserable. So here I am. Christmas time is a rough time for me. I could go into it, but there's really no point. Wave after wave of depression, and struggling to maintain it all. The only good thing about it is that it causes me to have these great leaps... it's unfortunate to say, but it does tend to fuel the creativity and thought... You simply cannot stop thinking. I try to turn it all around, try to apply it to something that could mean something. What else can you do? Yeah... I've been distant. Honestly, I feel that I am lucky that I am still sane. This season has been worse then most. If you are out there thinking that it's you, it's not. It's me. Things are changing though. Getting better. Signs of improvement. Soon, it will be the new year, and for some reason, I think this is the year that everything comes to a head... The defining moment, as they say. This time next year, I should have something tangible to show for my depression. I can't say what that thing is, but hopefully it will be good. It's a goal. It's something to work on when I feel that I just can't take anymore. I am going to start traveling a bit more... I think I now have reason to. I've had a few weird events lately, and they are good. I won't go into what those are... but I feel change. For the better. I even bought a Christmas tree. Mainly because I am not traveling to Oklahoma this year, and Mom is coming down. It will be good for her to get out of the state. So what's on the agenda next year? Well, "THE PROJECT" for one. Becoming more involved in communities... the ones relating to my profession. I'm going to work with Overdose to bring Binary Bomberman back from the dead... and also, maybe do some other types of media work. I have a couple ideas... and I've learned alot of neat things to share. Oh... traveling is a goal, Europe and Japan is high on the list. I'll try to hit one of those places this year. I need a passport. Working on my new found debt... well, it's higher then I would personally like, but lower then the rest of the nation, so I guess I'm okay. It will bug me though. I might have to cut out some sushi dinners. That's pretty much it. Today is ph33d's birthday... but I can't seem to get ahold of him. ph33d, if you are still alive and reading this thing... happy freaking birthday. I'm going to try to post more. Try. Make a point. Blogs are really sort of pointless these days... but it's a good way to keep everyone in the loop. I would blog about more interesting things, but I would probably get smited by the powers that be. Plus, blogging about work type things is only good if you are looking for another job, which I am not. I would rant about the world and politics, but opinions are like assholes... everyone has one, and they all stink. I'll save it for the radio show.
