Stress Relief

So what happens when Digi gets stressed out? When he has had a rough week? He gets talked into hitting the range with one of his good friends! Honestly, it has been years since I really shot something, and I can defintely say, it showed. The first 30 rounds I fired through this awesome rifle (M4) was very, very humbling. It was a little off, and so was I. At my good friend's suggestion, I started shooting groups of 5, and checking the target, making my adjustments where need be. At the bottom of this page, you will see the end result.

The M4 .223 fires like a dream. I was very surprised, it handled very well compared to other rifles I have fired, and there was very little recoil. It did get a little warm, but that is to be expected (Digi tries not to rapid fire... but he has quick fingers... =) This particular range was 50 yards, kinda ghetto and my friend said it kinda reminded him of some of the places he has toured before... I think 50 yards was okay, since I am blind anyways. (Don't glasses give you 20/20 vision?) HAHAHA... Anyways.. I ended up running about 100 rounds through the M4, and then run a clip through a Colt .45 at 50 yards.. 3 hit paper, 1 far right, 1 far left, and 1 almost dead center.. I can at least say if it was a threat, its dead now... =)

All in all, I had a great time, and I am considering shooting on a regular basis. My parents had brought me up shooting (goats, barns, camper shells, sorry mom!) and I forgot exactly how enjoyable it can be. If you have never been, I recommend it, just for the simple fact that it is one right that we have as Americans that always seems to be in some kind of jeorpardy. Enjoy it while you can, and learn a little about ballistics, physics, hand-eye coordination, and a little bit about yourself too.
