Hello! I am a 31 year old Security Engineer that currently resides in Texas. I have been doing computers since I was 4 years old. You have somehow stumbled to
my homepage. This page provides alot of information about nothing.. It is more
for myself then the general public, as this page is a small glimpse into my life. It is a living archive of the past, present and possible future. It is my
hopes that when I finally kick the bucket, this page will chronical some of my
personal memories, hopes, fears, and desires. After all, we are but small
specks in a much larger universe. This is my legacy.
I do not delete pictures, I do not delete rants, and I very rarely change the style or layout of the page. It is compatible with most webbrowsers, including Lynx. I like it like that. Usually, once I place something in my public_html, it stays, regardless if it embarasses you, or even myself. Things do change, however, very slowly. Content should always stay the same.
So, you may want to know a little bit about me. Well, I do computers, specifically network security. I am a bit-sifter. I look at things and evaluate their pontential threat level. I research cyber threats, exploits and vulnerabilities.My job is very fun, can be very stressful, and causes me to adopt weird hobbies.
Insanity ensues.
For fun, I do computers. I travel once a year to Las Vegas for Defcon. There, I meet with people of all types to drink, gamble, and discuss computer security, and anything else. I am not the best with people.. so alcohol is a must! When I am not working, I try to keep busy. I read books, shoot guns, and build / drive radio controlled RC cars. Gas powered of course. I play guitar and I love music, and I love to engineer solutions for almost anything. Motorcycles provide me an escape into the real of the world, also allowing me to clear my mind for my many rants. Everything from managing my personal interests to just checking the news, all of it done via the net.
Some people might ask me what my Operating System of choice is.. for that I answer with anything UNIX, but specifically, its actually Debian Linux. I am not too fond of Microsoft. Everyone has their opinions, and I will leave it at that, before someone shouts "Linux zealot!!!".
My personal skillset includes many things, none of which I will list. I can do lots of things, and if I don't know how, I will pick up a book and learn. If I don't have a book, I have an entire internet. For those of you looking for hacking information, I can only say that your brain is your most important and most useful tool. It is a swiss army knife. Learn to feed it. Read something.
As a person, I am a passionate, quick tempered, and blunt individual. I will always usually be the first to be outspoken, and I tend to hold to my decisions, and to my guns if I believe in something. Again, I am not good with people. I am usually quick to make friends, with like minds. Lazy people annoy me. I have several curses, one of them is that I am typically drawn to people that have problems that need to be solved. I don't know why. Also, my personal thought track is like fricken Encarta. I think in pictures, words and sound. Ever sit around and try to speak your inner monologue? I'd rather just have a neural interface and be done with it.
So what does the world think of Digi? Hell if I care. Everyone has an opinion, and I very rarely care what others think. I have my gig, I try to be as excellent as I can, and thats all I can do. Can't please everyone, but I can work to please myself. That's what counts.
In closing this section, I do hope that you gain something from my page. Note, I don't care if you love it or hate it, but if you learn something, or it sparks a thought for you, then my secondary objective has been made. This pleases me more then any compliment or complaint. Humanity must band together and advance, and it can only be done via free thought, free expression, and innovation.
